MWAB ensures that every migrant enjoys decent work and living conditions with their rights and dignity fully upheld while striving to empower migrant workers through access to fair and equal treatment and opportunities, fostering an enviornment of respect, celebrating diversity, awareness and advocation for their rights
"When I realized that domestic workers were facing widespread and unregulated abuse, I knew I had to take action. The injustices they faced were unacceptable, and I felt compelled to do something about it. I reached out to my previous organization to discuss these pressing issues and made the decision to advise those affected through their troubles."
"However, I knew that I couldn't tackle this problem alone. Due to limited resources, I reached out to a small number of volunteers who shared my passion for this cause. These individuals were just as committed to advocating for the rights of domestic workers as I was. Together, we formed a team dedicated to making a difference."
"During the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, I took my first steps towards creating change. I began by asking relatives and familiar faces to support migrant workers in their day-to-day lives. This simple act of kindness had a ripple effect, as more and more people joined our cause. As a result, our team began to grow, with core members joining us in our mission."
"Meanwhile, a friend in Kuwait had been thinking along similar lines. We connected and realized that we shared the same goal of advocating for the rights of domestic workers. After aligning our interests and ambitions, we knew that together, we could make an even greater impact. It was then that the organization Sandigan was born."
"Today, MWAB stands as a beacon of hope for domestic workers who have faced abuse and injustice. Through our efforts, we aim to create a world where every worker is treated with dignity and respect, regardless of their background or circumstances. By continuing to build our team, raise awareness, and advocate for change, we are confident that we can make a lasting difference in the lives of those we serve."
